Enjoy Southwest Florida's most comprehensive list of the gated communities in Port Charlotte Florida.

Port Charlotte is an unincorporated city that encompasses a large area of Charlotte County including the areas of Charlotte Harbor, Deep Creek, El Jobean, Murdock and the Cape Haze Peninsula. The Port Charlotte area offers a variety of waterfront and off-water gated communities that range from magnificent country estates to affordable and modest condos.

Port Charlotte is a true Coastal Community as it lies partly on the Gulf of Mexico and partly on Florida's second largest bay, Charlotte Harbor. It is graced with two rivers; The Peace River on the south side and the Myakka River that runs between the mainland and the Cape Haze Peninsula on the west. Add into the mix the hundreds of miles of man-made saltwater and fresh-water canals and you have some of the prettiest waterfront properties found in Southwest Florida. It is surprising that Port Charlotte has remained a relatively undiscovered area because it has everything that its more popular neighbors have; a warm sub-tropical climate, stunning natural beauty, barrier island beaches, protected wetlands, parks and preserves, golf courses, major shopping, hospitals, and so much more. Yet Port Charlotte has been over-shadowed by Sarasota to the North and Naples to the South. Port Charlotte is still a pocket of undiscovered paradise where housing prices are surprisingly affordable by comparison.  Because much of Port Charlotte was pre-platted in the late 1950's and early 1960's there are fewer large parcels available to build gated communities so you will find the ones we have are mostly smaller but they are still very special places to live.

The list above will take you to a variety of gated communities that offer coastal living both on and off-water. If by chance you find a community that you would like to see, just give me a call at 1-800-514-0680 and I'll take you inside the gates and show you the available homes in Port Charlotte or any gated community in Southwest Florida.
